Our Mission
The mission of the Pressure Proof is to provide equestrians, teams and trainers with mental and physical training programs to build a strong frame (supple, strong, symmetrical) and a strong frame-of-mind (confidence, courage, concentration). Motivated by the belief that our head, heart, hips, heels, hands and health all contribute to our success we develop programs that help riders turn struggles into successes.

Pressure Proofing unpacks basic brain functions in an easy to understand way. This knowledge helps riders recognize there is not something wrong with you. Rather, your brain is functioning in the way it was created for survival. The tricky part is our brain interprets any type of pressure as a potential survival situation. In survival responses, we tend to act before thinking. Pressure Proofing helps riders rewire this response to enable you to think before acting.

Pressure Proofing teaches you skills to cope with pressure by helping you focus on why you started riding in the first place: for the love of the horse! As riders, we need to make deliberate efforts to stay happy in our happy place. Pressure Proofing will help you achieve this.

In your normal riding lessons, most instructors focus on the position of your heels, hands, and hips. Pressure Proof sessions focus on what is going on in your heart and head. Only by deliberately working on your mental skills applied to riding will you see improvement in dealing with pressure.
